Gamers. Dear god, will you shut the fuck up about which gender plays better. Guys complain that “Oh, gurls make such a big scene about being a ‘girl gamer’” when they are the ones that constantly harass females in gameplay. The same reason I don’t go on mic in any games, because as soon as I do, I know I’ll get shit like “Get back in the kitchen” or “Ah, so you’re a girl! That must be why you SUCK SO MUCH HAHAHAHAHA”

Eh, no. I have seen male gamers play a lot worse than me at the games I play. Gender has FUCK ALL to do with gaming ability.

It’s a self-fufulling complaint. Guys make fun of girls for playing games, but then get pissed off when they become assertive. They say “Oh, so you’re a girl, no big deal, why you showing off about it” but when a girl is purely there just for the game, they are either bombarded with sexist comments from ten-year-olds that think it’s funny or are asked if they are hot and get flirted with.

I just want to play a fucking game I paid for, just like the rest of you folk.

Oh boy. :( This so much. I know so many guys who seem to attach their self-worth as a man to playing games that are ‘hardcore’ or ‘masculine’, and the girls who take pride in enjoying male-dominated games seem to put so much stress on the fact that they play ‘hardcore’, ‘masculine’ games too. In general ‘casual gamers’ get ripped on for not liking the same kind of games and it’s so pointless.

IT DOESN’T MATTER, WHATEVER YOU’RE PLAYING, IT’S JUST A GAME AND IT’S IMAGINARY. If people really want to be hardcore they can go out and hunt wildebeests armed only with their bare hands and a nail file.
