I have a deviantart which I haven't updated in a long time and I've also set up a separate tumblr where I dump doodles and artwork (more recent stuff generally).
I also take commissions for stamps, digital art and dress-up games. Details and prices here.
i just spent half an hour looking at cattle breeds to figure out what kind of cows those guys were but it turns out they’re calves and probably some sort of mix of breeds too lmao
still there are some really cool breeds out there
like the belted galloway has a belt of white
and the ones with humps like the brahman are pretty great too
BACK TO THIS RESEARCH ESSAy
Going through the requirements for one of my research essays annnd:
“You may use any referencing style you choose, so long as it is a widely accepted style and you use it consistently and correctly.
See below the list of questions for more criteria and advice on researching, writing and formatting your research essay.
Use Harvard Style referencing (a style guide is available on LMS).”
Haha sure okay sure I will use ‘any’ referencing style I choose by which I mean I will be using Harvard.
Mum was talking about her paternal grandfather and how he was the grandmaster of music for the Thai government/royal family and illiterate but able to compose music and all that cool stuff and then casually mentioned that he also practiced black magic.
I seriously need to read a family history or something.
mint has been feeling down and i think it’s the pressure of being immersed in an all-english school and struggling to keep up with peers who have english as a first language and being kinda separated from the other students because of it
and it sucks because i don’t think a lot of native-english speakers realise the advantages they get just from being fluent in the language? out of all the languages in the world, english is the most ‘valuable’. it provides the most cultural capital. so of course non-native speakers are going to try to learn it. but then of course you get a lot of people who aren’t really very willing to accommodate for someone whose english might be a little different or weaker.
ughhh mint sweetie
i want to do some things to cheer her up but even though we’re basically family and get along really well we don’t spend a lot of time verbally discussing likes and dislikes.
i know she likes baking though! and cakes and sweets.
maybe i will make her some scones or something.
she also likes english men. …and BL. haha okay never mind I know what I need to do.
I think Mum just sent me the first text she has ever successfully made after years of owning a mobile/smart phone and it was to send me a photo of a cute knit hat she wanted to buy for me
One day I’m going to buy the entire four volumes of Anthony C. Yu’s English translation of Journey to the West but in the meantime GOD BLESS MY UNIVERSITY LIBRARY AND THE ABRIDGED VERSION
I’d love to learn Chinese for stuff like this but I feel like it might conflict slightly with my efforts to learn Thai and Japanese? I’d probably get the tone systems confused for the former and the pronunciation of characters confused for the latter. But I feel like it would help with my understanding of a lot of things - understanding a lot of the interesting stuff from the Chinese media seems to rely on knowledge of the language system and its use of wordplay. Learning Sanskrit would be useful too but aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaAaaah man I don’t know if I can handle languages very well. I’m doing all right with Japanese but the amount of study it requires is a lot more demanding than my other subjects that are more to do with critical thinking and analysis. Never underestimate the value of subjects that require rote learning!
Right so I’m going through all the clothes in my room to figure out which ones I need to donate (which explains the garbage bags) but I remembered I never took photos of the traditional Thai clothes Mum brought back for me. The wraps of fabric on the right wrap around the shirt/torso and then flow down over the shoulder, generally.
*left what are wordsstayed at uni too late. have missed scheduled nap. is this what Tamara experiences when she hangs out with friends
no if I hang out with people at the right time I just end up taking a nap anyway. As I think people experienced at Jack’s house when I just slept on his couch for like an hour while people arrived and started watching Ghost Stories.
