Seriously though, the fact that Regretsy has ended means that now I have to go looking for this kind of stuff myself. Which admittedly isn’t really that hard because hey it’s Etsy but STILL. Still. Tears. All my tears.

There’s so much bullshit on Etsy and I feel like Regretsy, even if it wasn’t perfect and had a few issues, was able to call them out on a lot of it? Like that ‘hobo chic’ debacle, the allowance of mass produced items from factories, loads of white people trying to be mystical by saying ‘namaste’ and selling dream catchers made out of shoes (???), and whatnot. But here’s probably my favourite:

Sorry for such a lack of updates, my internet hasn’t been the most reliable lately! Had 4 days with no connection at all. In that time, I felt like I wanted to doodle my fave pokemon and make it into a HD wallpaper! Thought I’d like to share! :D

This whole time I have been getting on at myself for not being colourful enough but I guess I have actually improved on that front by the looks of things! You can see I went from traditional to digital, and my “style” developing heh. I still feel I lack a definitive style, and I kinda like some of my older drawings and the style used in them, but ah well, I shall forward on.
April I had barely anything. I think I was having a bad time around then, and apologies for the adult image for august, I couldn’t find anything else of substance I did that month :’3 (Raph, stop eyeing her up, goodness!)
Going through my files, I was happy to see I was very productive starting from september! I should keep this up uwuBut yes, this. Things. Good! Onward to more art in 2013!!! /rambles

I don’t think I’m going to win the competition tonight, but that’s okay! Don’t get me wrong, it would be great to win such wonderful prizes! However, I am up against really talented people and they deserve to be recognised too. I am more than happy that my art was not only put in the top ten, but it got so many votes that it has! I’ve had friends and followers tell me they like my design, and that is enough to give me the confidence that I needed to feel comfortable with my art. uwu
If I don’t win, I’m still gonna use my little doodle demon for future personal artworks!

Hey guys!
There’s a mascot design competition going on for DoJ-Con, which is an art, anime and gaming convention in Dundee, Scotland. The top ten designs have been picked, and are up on their facebook page. It’s up to a public vote, and there is a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place available!
The prizes are as follows:“The first prize will be the chance to work with us to create the mascot. You will also be entitled to a free table in Artist’s Alley, AND £150 cash prize!
The second and third prize winners will each see their designs on a limited edition t-shirt, available on the day, and receive one each for free!”
The first place design will be used for all of DoJ-Con’s merchandise and on posters, banners, leaflets, the lot!

I love the perspective but the way you always draw expressions really gets me. There’s a kind of lively jauntiness to the way you draw happy or cheeky facial expressions, especially around the jaw and mouth I think.
